This pseudo-lager is made with a strain of yeast called Kveik. It has a smooth, moderate body with a soft rounded sweetness and low bitterness. This beer very loosely imitates the classic Munich Helles beers and is designed for a session! The beer showcases a more modern hop variety called Saphir that has all the traits of its classic german cousins with floral and herbal notes but with a slight tangerine impression too. Unlike the classic helles style we gave this beer a little dry hop too to boost the hop notes and showcases the Saphir hop but that doesn’t stop this beer from being punished on a sunny, almost-spring day in the taproom!
