Field Sales Manager - Off Premise

Capital Brewing Co is one of Australia’s largest independently owned and B-corp certified craft breweries and has been making award-winning Good Natured Brews from our Canberra brewery and taproom since 2017.

The opportunity now exists for a highly motivated Field Sales Manager to join our Sales team focusing on our off-premise customers. You will need to be enthusiastic about representing our brand, act as a reliable point of contact for our customers, and possess sound commercial acumen and a love of great beer!

Role and Responsibilities

Sales and Distribution

  • Develop and execute the off-premise sales strategy aligned with Capital Brewing Co growth targets

  • Manage and build relationships with key off-premise customers

  • Executes trade marketing strategies in stores

  • Drive volume growth, rate of sale and brand visibility 

  • Effective plans sales calls prior to communicating with accounts or leads, setting clear objectives for each call to maximise the opportunity for a sales conversion

  • Develops and updates new business pipeline and account management

Team Leadership

  • Day-to-day management of on premise territory managers, acting as a first point of contact for their queries and proving ongoing coaching and development. 

  • Set clear KPI’s, sales targets and call cycles

  • Conduct Regular assistance on the road, training and reviews

  • Build strong product knowledge and selling capabilities across the team

Reporting and Administration

  • Prepares detailed and accurate ROI contracts for approval from Managing Directors

  • Tracks sales performance and distribution

  • Managing debt, including supporting Territory Manager’s approaching difficult customers

  • Management and communication of pricing structures for direct reports

  • Regularly reports on the off-premise  performance  including areas of opportunity, growth, trends including year-on-year revenue, distribution, key account activity and accompanying actions plans

Brand & Activation

  • Plans, coordinates & executes industry events

  • Represent Capital Brewing Co at industry and consumer events as required

  • Works closely with Marketing to deliver tastings, events and activations

  • Ensure strong execution of  brand standards

  • Coordinates with Marketing to ensure all Trade Marketing is effective

Desired Skills and Experience

You will bring:

  • Previous sales experience/target-driven role

  • Full drivers license

  • Enthusiasm with the ability to build rapport and build on relationships

  • Experience within the craft beer market/beverage market would be advantage
